This morning I woke up to an email confirming payment of my membership in the NEO Network community. I was ecstatic to see this email! The membership is $100/ month (first 90 days are free, as long as the offer is on the website). So yes, my 90 days are up and I’m more than happy to pay. I thought I would share with you what is takes to own and operate a traditional business and share with you the value of the $100 membership in the NEO Network community. All of these memberships and associations cost money.
I have owned traditional businesses before. In a traditional business, the owner(s) bears the burden of rent, payroll, energy, communications and insurance. Additionally, networking is important, which usually means belonging to associations in the city where the business is located, the local Chamber of Commerce, for example. There is probably an organization within the specific industry one belongs to as well. Take, for instance, a doctor. He/She will most likely belong to the American Medical Association, Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and an association within their medical specialty. There are probably state associations that a doctor is going to belong to as well.
Finally, my favorite part: Marketing!!! Marketing is a very critical factor in any business. In today’s world of technology and social media, it is suicide not to have a website, blog, Facebook page, Twitter and Pinterest. Usually one will want special graphics created for ads and maybe even a writer to help with publicity. A website today is going to cost $3,000 – $5,000; more if the business implements e-commerce capability. A monthly advertising budget could easily be $500 to $1,000 for all forms of advertising: print, TV, radio and social media. All of this is the name of branding.
So, back to the $100 membership to belong to the NEO Network. The benefits of joining the NEO Network are numerous. First, that you get to use all of the marketing material that the community creates, participate in activities (including hangouts and other events), have the name recognition of Kris Darty and the NEO Network. Furthermore, you get to leverage your marketing efforts and talents with an army of several thousands. There is much more coming in the future, including a NEO 2.0. So, is the $100/month membership to the NEO Network worth it? You betcha!!!

Loved this post. This is pure unadulterated truth. A traditional business is expensive! An online business can be, especially when you’re not backed by a network, a family, of others that see a better way. That’s NEO! 🙂
